Cecil C. Aird, M.D., F.R.C.S.(C), F.A.C.S.
Qualifications and Training in
Hand and Microsurgery
Cecil
C. Aird, M.D. is the founder and Medical Director of the Tampa
Bay Hand Center, the first certified out-patient Hand Surgery Center in the
State of Florida.
Dr. Aird received his medical degree from the University of the West Indies. He
completed his post-graduate education in general surgery under the tutelage of
LaSalle D. Leffall Jr., M.D. at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He received his microsurgery training at the Microsurgery Research Center at the Eastern
Virginia Medical School and served Hand and Microsurgery Fellowships with Alfred
B. Swanson, M.D. in Grand Rapids, Michigan and with Harold E. Kleinert, M.D.,
at the University of Louisville. He was also a Visiting Hand Fellow to Japan.
Dr. Aird's credentials include the following:

In 2004, Dr. Aird received the Florida Choice Award for Workers' Compensation.
He is an active staff member at a number of local hospitals and has organized several scientific conferences in Tampa on
Hand and Microsurgery topics. He also provides consultant services to Jamaica
and Grand Cayman.
