Tampa Bay Hand Center
Founded in 1989 by Hand
and Microsurgeon, Cecil C. Aird, M.D., the
Tampa Bay Hand Center
provides highly specialized, comprehensive care for patients
with injuries and disorders of the hand and wrist.
The Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for
diagnosis, surgery, and rehabilitation of hand problems.
The Tampa Bay Hand Center is staffed by a team of highly
qualified professionals whose goal is to restore proper function
to the hand and wrist.
The Center is located in North Tampa, near the University of
South Florida and University Community Hospital.
The Tampa Bay Hand Center is the first certified
outpatient Hand and Microsurgery Center in the State of Florida.
The Center achieved this certification by satisfying the
stringent criteria established by the State of Florida Agency
for Health Care Administration.
The sub-specialty of Hand and Microsurgery emerged only during
the last twenty to thirty years, and is highly dependent on
modern technology. Major advances have been made in this field
over the past two decades and the Tampa Bay Hand Center
is now able to correct many of the problems related to this
delicate and complex instrument - the human hand.
